Could your slow cooker be any more convenient? If you take Sandra Lee's
semi-homemade approach,

it actually can be! In her new book, Semi-Homemade Slow Cooker Recipes,
there's no PRE-PREP

required. THERE'S NO BROWNING, NO DICING AND NO CHOPPING... just toss
ingredients
into the slow cooker and let them cook with fabulous results!

Yay! More time for tablescapes and booze!

"Pre-prep"?

Don't forget that if you put food more that 2 degrees different than the
temperature of the crock pot into the crock pot, the whole thing will
shatter explosively sending shards of ceramic into nearby objects,
people, and pets.

It's true. I was killed by an exploding crock pot once.

Twice, if you count the other time.

That's it, I'm switching to the electric pressure cooker!

Can you in fact pressurize electricity?

Only if you are cooking the electricity. It is delicious with a nice box
of rice-a-roni.

And, more importantly, your barware and bottles of hooch.
